VCNSW Women's Gala Day

The Women's veterans cricket arena continues to grow at a tremendous rate, not only in Sydney but across every state and territory. On the 22nd of September 2024 the ladies hosted a gala day at Airey Park in Strathfield which saw women from all across the state come together for the day. Not a Port Jackson event per se, but an event too good not to share.

Two limited overs matches were played with a great mix of players from across the 4 divisions, acting as a great dry-run to the Nationals in the November.

A very big thank you to both Daryl Chappelow and Sutha Siva from the Strathfield District Cricket Club for facilitating this event.

Who knows, it may not be too far away until we see the ladies sporting some PJ kit in some region vs region matches?
