Captain’s Report

This year Port Jackson Blue (PJB) put together a strong squad of players. Initially in Div 2 they were asked to drop down to Div 3.

The results showed that PJB were just too strong for this level and won their 3 divisional games and the final comfortably.

This was a team of depth. There were plenty of quality bowlers and the speed in the field was in great contrast to that of the opposition. Batting was never under pressure and the biggest challenge was giving everyone a chance to perform.

This was a great team effort which did not rely on a small number of players. Everyone contributed at some time during the event. All in all a truly professional attitude and approach by all.

A great team to captain and my thanks to all the players for this. In particular I would mention the great effort made by our Manager Peter Coldwell who made my job that much easier.

Victorious PJ Blue squad

For the record our squad consisted of:

Douglas Latto (C); Peter Caldwell (Manager); Phil Bray; Martin Dubler; John Jackson; G Kandakumar; Dave Massey: Jeff Matchett, Rupert Matthews; Linga Paramalingham; Ajoy Roy; John Parker; Paul Thomas; David Wright(WK)
